24 Years of Home Care Experience
Delba Hodges began providing senior care in 1980 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In 1983 she became a Staff Coordinator for United Nursing International Registry in South San Francisco, In 1986 she moved on to Office Manager & Staff Coordinator for Oaks Nursing Registry. Experience gained through working with these two registries enabled her to become acquainted with a number of Hospital Staffing Supervisors and Staffing Coordinator Managers throughout San Francisco, Marin County, San Mateo County, and Half Moon Bay. In 1989 she worked as a Psychiatric Nurse for the Department of Army at the Presidio Army Base in San Francisco. She received her certification as Residential Care Facility Administrator, Professional Fiduciary Management for Conservators and Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees in 2004. In 2007 she participated in ongoing training with California Association for Health Services at Home and received her Home Care Management certificate.
Throughout Delba’s years of employment her joy for caring has been geared to caring for seniors suffering with mental challenges such as depression, Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia, Parkinson Disease, cancer and other terminal illnesses. In addition, she provides support and comfort for terminally ill and hospice patients through their transitional period. As of 2009 Delba continues to service seniors in need of independent living support in their place of resident. Through Cherish Senior Care, Delba provides in-home care, elder home care management, safety checks, live-in, companionship, medication reminding, sitters, respite, senior care transportation,personal transportation, private hire, placement & payroll and consultant services designed to accommodate seniors’ everyday independent living needs (See Care Packages).
